Our Mission

Greetings

Dr. NONAKA Mie

Hello. My name is Mie Nonaka.

For many people, “dental treatment” elicits thoughts of fear and pain. I assume this feeling is quite common, and believe it’s the result of past treatment experience, and the characteristic sounds and ambience of dental treatment.

Because teeth are an incredibly essential component in maintaining overall health, it’s unfortunate prior experiences can sometimes slant our opinion about dental care, and cause us to feel a dental clinic is best worth avoiding if at all possible.

The first step to re-balancing our impression of dental treatment is to overcome any underlying uneasiness by building an honest trusting relationship between dentist and patient. To achieve that equilibrium, it’s important, then, to conduct thorough counseling sessions, and with informed consent, operate appropriately and adequately based on scientific grounds.

Also, moving forward, we should work hard to change our mindset from one focused on “cure-centric treatment” to a more “preventative care centered” model. That is, we should want to visit the dentist “to prevent tooth decay and periodontal disease” rather than go when we are already “suffering from tooth decay and periodontal disease.” For this reason, at Nonaka Dental Clinic in Kobe, we focus on preventative maintenance following treatment, and our lasting goal is to be the dental clinic people always feel at ease visiting throughout the course of their life. Every staff member at our dental clinic continually strives from the heart to create an environment and ambience people trust. And, based on that trusting relationship, we would like to partner with patients throughout life.

Our Treatment Principles

  • Informed Consent

    Informed Consent

We value thorough communication with patients, and because of this belief, we openly discuss the full course of treatment, treatment details, cost, and the period of time necessary to complete treatment with every patient. After thoroughly going over these points and receiving consent, we’ll begin treatment.

  • Clean Environment

    Clean Environment

We have an independent, sterilization room designed to ensure the sterilization of all medical tools. The clinic is also equipped with a slipper disinfection dispenser, and each time a pair of slippers is used, they undergo a process of being exposed to ultraviolet light, evenly disinfecting the slippers and sterilizing them from the inside out.

  • Attentive Treatment

    Attentive Treatment

We consider our all-female staff to be an advantage in the delivery of meticulous care, not only during treatment, but also at reception and throughout the clinic’s entire environment.

  • Latest Dental Treatment Technology

    Latest Dental Treatment Technology

We are always diligently learning, being mindful of the latest technological trends in treatment, and putting that knowledge to good use in the care of our patients.
