Comprehensive Treatment

*All the case pictures on this website were taken during treatments at Nonaka Dental Clinic.

There exist complex cases that need different treatments at one time: treatment for periodontal disease, the loss of a tooth, braces, tooth extraction, implantation, and so on. Treatment improves overall health, for example, when we recover bite force or increase our satisfaction with the aesthetic look of our teeth. Issues in the mouth are not limited to decay.

Other issues could include:
tooth decay, periodontal disease, prior dentistry fixes (e.g., ill-fitting crowns), uneven teeth, bad breath, bad bite, missing teeth, discoloration, etc…

Case 1

The patient in these pictures suffered from severe bruxism and, as a result, the teeth had worn down over time, becoming shorter and shorter. One reason was ill-fitting crowns on the molars, and another was broken tooth roots that bore too much pressure—allowing excessive force on the teeth.

Case 2

The patient in these pictures above had weak gums and experienced pain while brushing, causing the patient to worry about receding gums in the future. Also, the patient was dissatisfied with the aesthetic look of the teeth because they looked long, and because of the patchwork of prior crown placement.

Case 3

The patient in the above pictures had periodontal disease that was causing teeth to shift. The bite was also shifting, and without being fixed, was creating a vicious cycle of further poor oral health. Having missing teeth added the acceleration of abnormal teeth positioning. With braces, we realigned the teeth overall, and treated lower back teeth the patient felt were aesthetically unappealing. Where teeth were missing, we placed implants.
